// Alright, Let’s get started🌟 How about you introduce yourself?
Hi! I'm Ellen, editor in chief of online magazine FEM FEM, freelance creative and founder of Better Than Goods, a platform for the stylish do-gooder. I'm 26 years old and live in Haarlem. The most fun part about my job is to be able to share inspiration and information with others time and time again. About a sustainable lifestyle for example. If you take the right steps, a sustainable lifestyle isn't about giving up on things but about feeling more fulfilled along the way.
// So …., tell us - what is your secret beauty hack?
After having tried & tested about every skincare product in the world, it's actually one thing: simplify your routine. I've had a troubled skin for years, and finally made the switch to a clean & green skincare routine, using a few products only. One of my keepers? The Biologi Bd Luminosity Face Serum. This serum is made with Davidson Plum Extract and leaves my skin radiant, repairs the skin's barrier, and thanks to its anti-inflammatory properties it helps to reduce blemishes and acne. It's the best I've ever used for my skin.
// What does your daily skincare routine look like?
Mornings my routine is simple: I clean my skin and neck with water, dab it dry, and use the magic toner of one.two.free!, after which I apply my Bd Luminosity Serum as my daycream, before applying my makeup. In the evening I double cleanse my skin with the one.two.free! miracle oil cleanser, followed by the one.two.free! favorite foaming cleanser, which I use with the Foreo Lua Mini 3 face brush. This way my face is thoroughly cleansed in just about 30 seconds. After cleansing, I apply Biologi's BD Luminosity serum or Bf Hydration serum.
// Could you tell us some more about your fave products?
I am a big fan of the Oat milk foundation, Arnica concealer and Corn-translucent-powder, all Ere Perez. These are all makeup itemas so good for your skin, they actually belong in the skincare category. I use the colour Chai. Ever since using these items, my skin is much more calm, as they don't clog my pores and have anti-imflammatory properties as well. The Corn-translucent-powder turns every shiny forehead into one with a beautiful matte finish. It's the best powder ever! Then there's two favourites of Eco by Sonya: their Face Tan Water for a sunkissed glow, and the Glory Oil, which is an all purpose oil to help reduce scars, redness, fine lines, and wrinkles.
// What are your must-have beauty items when you’re on the go? A.K.A Those good old products that can always be found in your purse.
A mini fragrance bottle of Byredo’s Gypsy Water or Santal 33 by Le Labo, the Arnica concealer by Ere Perez, Egyptian Magic lip balm and lipstick by Anastacia Beverly Hills in the colour Sweet Pea.
// Which of your products would you like to replace for a greener alternative?
I think my current beauty stash feels like green favourites versus green alternatives really. But, there's a lot to explore still. I'm really curious about the all natural perfumes by Abel. The Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot Harmony, the Biologi Bm Regenerate Anti-Ageing Serum and Biologi Bqk Radiance Face Serum are high on my beauty wish list.
// Is there any advice you would like to give our Greenbeauty Community?
I think everybody needs green beauty essentials that are good to your skin, ánd of high quality, like the products of Biologi. Luckily there's no need to experiment for years and years or on your own. There's lots of info available online with platforms like Greenbeauty Market, and by reading other people's reviews. I'd say: find and listen to an expert, to become one.
